The Representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Tunisia met with the Minister of Women, Family and Children, Ms. Neziha Labidi to discuss bilateral cooperation for the benefit of refugee women and children in Tunisia

Mr. Mazin Abu Shanab, the Representative of the United Nations the High Commissioner for Refugees in Tunisia met on 1 March 2017 with Ms. Neziha Labidi, the Minister of Women, Family and Children.
During the meeting, UNHCR Representative updated the Minister on the situation of refugee women and children in Tunisia and praised the good cooperation between UNHCER and the ministry especially with regard to children's issues and the willingness to offer more in the area of training and capacity building.
UNHCR Tunisia Representative appreciated the valuable contribution of the ministry in the drafting process of the Arab Strategy on protecting children in asylum context, an Arab league initiative supported by UNHCR.
The minister, from her part,
commended UNHCR's efforts to address the needs and issues of refugee women and
children and reassured the continuity of fruitful cooperation between the two
sides. UNHCR and the Ministry have agreed to continue cooperative work through
the exchange of information and the planning of upcoming activities.
