Appel d’offres pour la réalisation des travaux de réhabilitation de cordons dunaires sur les plages de Tabarka, Chebba, Djerba et Gabes.

Le programme des Nations Unies pour le Développement (PNUD) en Tunisie, lance pour le compte de  l’Agence de Protection et d’Aménagement du Littoral (APAL), une invitation à soumissionner pour la réalisation des travaux de réhabilitation de cordons dunaires sur els plages de Tabarka, Chebba, Djerba et Gabes.

International Organization for Migration (IOM) Tunisia is looking for an Administrative, Procurement and Logistics Assistant according to the terms of reference stipulated below. TERMS OF REFERENCE

                                     

Position Title                          : Administrative/Procurement/Logistics Assistant

Duty Station                          : IOM Tunis

Type of Appointment             : G3, Special All-Inclusive Contract

General Functions:

 

Under the guidance and direct supervision of the Resource Management Officer in Tunis, in close coordination with the Administrative and Finance Assistant and under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission, the Admin/Proc/Log Assistant will be providing support in terms of administration, logistics and procurement requirements in the office and to the projects that are being implemented by IOM. In particular the incumbent will be responsible for the following tasks:

 

  1. Receive and check all incoming invoices, prepare the payment request form when necessary. Verify invoices and documents submitted by suppliers and service providers and make sure that IOM’s rules and regulations are followed;
  2. Ensure all office documentations relating to staff and security is completed in a timely manner and filed in accordance to IOM requirements. This would include but no limited to Travel Authorizations (TA), Security Clearances (SC) and Staff Attendance Records.
  3. Keep track of all staff TAs, including registering/numbering them.
  4. Verify and ensure correctness of all travel authorizations, claims and supporting documentations
  5. Responsible in coordinating driver’s activities in the office.
  6. Monitor usage of expendable materials for office supplies, furniture and other necessities, prepare purchase requests for such items in a timely manner.
  7. Maintain an efficient filing system of all supporting documents e.g. administrative, logistics, procurement etc.;
  8. In coordination with the Administrative and Finance Assistant procure supplies locally (in the best interest of IOM).
  9. Assist the Administrative and Finance Assistant in ensuring that all agreements such as local office lease, internet provider, vehicle rental, electricity and water supply and other service providers are valid and renewed on a timely manner. 
  10. Supervise the work of the janitors.
  11. Perform other duties as required.

 

Desired qualifications:

 

University Graduate with background working experience in Admin/Finance and/or Logistics/Procurement. Previous working experience in other international organizations (IOM, UN etc) is an advantage.

 

Effective organizational skills and ability to establish priorities and plans, ability to work under pressure and cope with deadlines. Good written and spoken communications skills, good interpersonal skills, ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.

 

Language: Good knowledge of English.

 

Computer Literacy: Good knowledge of MS programs .e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.


Project Assistant, Counter-trafficking Unit

Position Title                 : Project Assistant, Counter-trafficking Unit

Duty Station                : Tunis, Tunisia

Classification                : G5, Special All-Inclusive Contract

General functions:

Under the guidance and direct supervision of the Counter-Trafficking Project Manager and the overall supervision of the IOM Chief of Mission in Tunisia, the successful candidate will be required to:

  • Assist the Counter-Trafficking Project Manager with the overall implementation of the G/TIP (US Department of State/Government Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons (G/TIP) funded project;
  • Assist the CT Project Manager in coordinating and liaising with various interlocutors, including governmental entities (e.g. Ministry of Justice), implementing partners, UN agencies, NGOs and other stakeholders working on human trafficking;
  • Support implementation of project  activities,  including  the  assessment  on  the  scope  and  nature  of counter-trafficking in Tunisia, the mapping of service providers and the development of a national referral mechanism for the identification and provision of protection services to victims of trafficking;
  • Assist with the coordination, logistics, design and development of the training and raising awareness activities of the project;
  • Assist the CT Project Manager with data collection and consolidation on trafficking, including beneficiary case data;
  • Provide the CT Project Manager with regular updates on the implementation of project activities;
  • Draft interim and final project narrative reports to be submitted to the Donor (US Department of State/G-TIP);
  • Contribute to the development of counter trafficking related project documents for funding, in relation to expressed governmental needs, donor priorities, in coordination with IOM’s Regional Office for the Middle East and North Africa and in line with IOM's mandate and strategy;
  • Undertake duty travel related as required;
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned.

 

Desirable qualifications:       

(Education, experience and competencies)           

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Political Science or related field;
  • Knowledge and working experience in the field of migration and/or counter-trafficking would be an asset;
  • At least three years of working experience in an international environment;
  • Demonstrated experience in project management;
  • Fluency in written and oral Arabic and French, good knowledge of English;
  • Excellent knowledge of all Microsoft Office package applications;
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment;
  • Ability to work under pressure, good organisational skills and drive for results;
  • Ability to work effectively with local authorities, stakeholders, beneficiaries, and the broader community to advance country office or regional objectives.
